Join my adult class online this winter to learn about Printmaking!
The art of Printmaking allows for many techniques and the creation of personal works of art that range from representational to abstract. The process of printmaking is very dynamic; yet methodical. In this course, the student will explore the creative ranges of monoprint and collagraph printmaking. The inclusion of additional drawing and imaging tools will result in a series of fantastic mixed media pieces to add to your portfolio!

Exploration
As a life-long learner, Christa seeks opportunities to expand her creative process across many mediums. While her core art applications are painting and drawing, the evolution of her art practice has included printmaking, collage, and clay just to name a few. Christa finds satisfaction in the art process as much as the art product.

ABOUT THE ART...
I paint primarily in oil combined with mediums such as cold wax and impasto to enhance the visual movement and texture of the work.
While I enjoy painting the nuances of nature, I paint any subject matter that prompts me to pause and be mindful of what I observe. I strive to share my appreciation for the many aspects of the world around me. I am visually communicating a message to you that says, "Hey, did you see that?" I find this acknowledgment of the world around me serves as an anchor to what is important to me, resulting in a feeling of centeredness.
ABOUT THE ARTIST...
Christa Amos resides in Chester County, PA where she works in her home studio creating works in oil manipulating its unique qualities of texture and viscosity. In addition, Christa enjoys printmaking, mixed media and watercolor. After earning a BFA in illustration and graphic design at Moore College of Art and Design, she later acquired a Master’s degree from Arcadia University. As an art educator, Christa strives to connect to her students through authentic connections in art making. As a practicing artist, she connects to her audience through the subject matter of her art. Promoting a state of mindfulness, Christa’s art captures glimpses of everyday life and places that we all might encounter, but may overlook.
